The New Zealand Breakers basketball side has been beaten 74-57 in their Australian national league game against the Taipans in Cairns.
Cairns smothered the Breakers offence and kept the defending champions to just eight points in the third quarter.
Overall the Breakers shot just 34 per cent from the field.
Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis says it's his team's worst performance of the season.
