The English football side Manchester United has held off a stunning second-half fightback from 10-man Manchester City to knock the holders out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 win in the third round at Eastlands.
Elsewhere Chelsea have cruised to a 4-0 win over Portsmouth, Sunderland have won 2-0 at Peterborough while Sheffield Wednesday have upset West Ham United 1-0.
Arsenal will take on Leeds United overnight in the last of the third-round matches.
