The American football side, the New York Giants, has advanced to the second round of the NFL playoffs with a 24-2 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
The Giants have booked a second-round visit this weekend to defending champions Green Bay, a 38-35 winner at New York last month, while New Orleans go to San Francisco on in the other National Conference playoff matchup.
