Strikers fall to Sydney in cricket's Big Bash

Black Cap Nathan McCullum helped his Sydney Sixers spin their way to an emphatic 64-run victory over Adelaide Strikers in their Big Bash Twenty/20 cricket match in Adelaide.

The Sixers reclaimed third spot on the ladder after suffocating the Strikers, who crashed to 87 all out from 18.4 overs when chasing 152 to win.

Spinners McCullum, Steven O'Keefe and Stuart MacGill created havoc as Adelaide slumped to their fourth loss in six BBL outings.

The Sixers lost four wickets for 23 in a middle order slump of their own, but their bowling brigade covered for a win which took them to eight competition points - the same as leaders Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers.
