Scotland prop to miss most of Six Nations

Scotland's Six Nations rugby hopes have taken a knock with the news that prop Moray Low will miss most of the campaign with a knee ligament injury.

Low and first five Ruaridh Jackson sustained injuries during the first-half of Glasgow Warriors' match away to Scarlets last weekend.

Jackson was withdrawn with a leg injury when kicking an early penalty but no long-term issues were anticipated.

The 27-year-old Low, on the other hand, was given a bleaker assessment when he was told after a medical that he will be out for at least eight weeks.

Jackson is expected to miss Glasgow's European Cup clash with Leinster at Firhill this weekend.

Scotland open their Six Nations campaign with a home game against England on February the 4th.
