The New Zealand cyclist, Peter Latham has won gold in the men's 4000 metres individual pursuit at the UCI World Cup event in China.
Latham was the top qualifier but was behind Australia's Mitchell Mulqueen at the three quarter mark in the final.
Meanwhile Olympic hopeful Joanne Kiesanowski is in a share of second place after the first day of the women's omnium.
