Solomona breaks leg

Warrington second rower David Solomona has sustained a broken leg during the English Super League club's three-week training camp in Australia.

The 31-year-old former New Zealand rugby league international picked up the injury in training and underwent surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.

The injury is the second close-season mishap for the Wolves, who will start the 2012 campaign without halfback Richie Myler after he dislocated an elbow in the club's friendly against Widnes on Boxing Day.

With fullback Brett Hodgson also sidelined until March with an ankle injury, coach Tony Smith will have just 22 players available for a friendly against South Sydney on January 28th.
