Remarkable opening stand in final round win for Central Stags

The Central Stags posted a remarkable 222 for two and went on to win their final round HRV Cup Twenty20 cricket match against Wellington by 53 runs on Wednesday evening in New Plymouth.

Central openers Jamie How and Peter Ingram shared a world record Twenty20 first wicket stand of 201.

The previous best start was 192 produced by New Zealand's Hamish Marshall and Irishman Kevin O'Brien for English county side Gloucestershire.
