The tennis world number three Roger Federer says the key to his comprehensive outclassing of Juan Martin del Potro in the Australian Open quarter-finals was his relaxed attitude.

Federer was at his classy best on Rod Laver Arena with the four times champion breezing through his 1000th ATP Tour match in straight sets, and will now take on Rafael Nadal in a mouth-watering semi-final.

The win sent a clear message that Swiss maestro is on top of his game in Melbourne, although Federer says he felt less pressure going into the quarter-final than he had in his previous matches.
