The Sydney Sixers have won Australian cricket's Twenty20 Big Bash final with a crushing seven-wicket triumph over Perth Scorchers at the WACA in Perth.

Paceman Brett Lee starred with the ball, snaring two for 21 off four overs, including the key scalp of Herschelle Gibbs for a duck, to help restrict Perth to 156 for five in a match that started in stifling 38 degree heat.

Then opener Moises Henriques unleashed fury with the bat in a man-of-the-match performance, Henriques cracking 70 off 41 balls as Stephen O'Keefe chipped in with 48 off 46, the Sixers cruising to 158 for three with seven balls to spare in front of a sell-out crowd of 16,255.
