The Townsville Crocodiles turned around a slow start to defeat the Adelaide 36ers 89-71 in their Australian National Basketball League clash at The Swamp.

The Crocs trailed by five at half-time, but capitalised on four 36er turnovers to go on an 11-2 third-quarter run and break the game open.

Centre Luke Schenscher was dominant for the home side with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Australian junior international Mitch Creek had the best game of his professional career with 19 points, five rebounds and three assists for the losers.

The win lifts the Crocs above Gold Coast into third on the ANBL ladder while Adelaide remain dead last.
