Central Districts will host the final of the domestic one day cricket competition after their play-off match with Auckland in New Plymouth was rained off.
Central were 16 without loss after 5 overs, chasing 231 to beat Auckland, when the players were forced from the field.
No further play was possible so Central go through to the final as top qualifiers.
Otago beat Canterbury by 12 runs in the elimination match in Dunedin.
Otago were bowled out for just 172 in the 39th over, however they managed to bowl Canterbury out in the 46th over.
The Auckland-Otago match will be in Auckland on Wednesday with the winner going on to meet Central in the final next Sunday.
