All Whites skipper makes debut for Tottenham

The All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen has made his debut for his new English Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur.

Nelsen came on with a quarter of an hour to play in Tottenham's 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle.

Manchester United has regained top spot in the competition with a 2-1 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford.

It puts them a point ahead of rivals Manchester City, who play Aston Villa on Monday.

However the United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says the Liverpool striker is a disgrace to the club and should never be allowed to play for them again.

It was Suarez's first start since returning from an eight-match ban for racially abusing United captain Patrice Evra but he refused to shake Evra's hand before the match and Fergusson says Liverpool should get rid of him.

Chelsea's dropped out of the top four beaten two nil by Everton while Arsenal had a 2-1 win over Sunderland to move into fourth spot.

Blackburn Rovers beat Queens Park ranger 3-2, Fulham had a 2-1 win over Stoke City and Norwich beat Swansea 3-2.

Bottom placed Wigan Athletic beat fellow relegation threatened Bolton Wanderers 2-1.
