The young American golfer Jessica Korda completed an extraordinary double as the winner of yesterday's Australian Womens Open at Royal Melbourne.
18-year-old blonde rolled in a six metre birdie putt on the second extra hole of a 6-way playoff to win the title, adding to the victory of her father Peter Korda at the 1998 Australian Tennis Open.
The 14-year-old New Zealand amateur Lydia Ko was competitive in the world class field, tieing for 19th, six shots back.
