Sri Lanka and India tie in Tri-series

2:38 pm on 15 February 2012

India's cricket captain MS Dhoni produced another Houdini-like escape to snatch a tie for his side in Tuesday night's Tri-series one day match against Sri Lanka in Adelaide.

Two days after his last over heroics downed Australia, Dhoni scored an unbeaten 58 from 69 balls, including three off the last ball of a match in which both sides finished on 236 for 9.

For the second straight match the Indian opener Gautam Gambhir got into the 90s.

An umpiring mistake during India's run chase could well have cost them victory.

Only five balls were bowled, but India's captain Dhoni distanced his team from any complaint after the match.
