The three-time pairs rowing world champion Hamish Bond says the apparent decision by their longtime British rivals to give up on the event ahead of the London Olympics doesn't guarantee them gold.

The BBC is reporting that Team Great Britain is set to overhaul their men's squad including shifting the pair of Pete Reed and Andrew Triggs Hodge into a four.

The New Zealand pair of Bond and Eric Murray have dominated the event for the past three years, beating Reed and Triggs-Hodge 14 times in succession including the last three world championships.

Bond says their focus is on getting quicker not on who're they're beating.
