Taylor out of one day series against South Africa

The New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor will miss the three-match one day series against South Africa, having failed to recover from a calf injury.

Taylor injured his calf while batting in the recent Test against Zimbabwe and had been expected to play in the one dayers against South Africa.

The Black Caps physiotherapist Paul Close says Taylor's resumed running and is ready to bat in the nets and should be fit to play in the first Test against the Proteas on March 7th.

Brendan McCullum, who's leading the side in the Twenty20 series, will continue in the role for the one dayers.
