A gritty fourth-quarter sealed Gold Coast a much-needed 94-86 Australian National Basketball League win over the Hawks in Wollongong.

Adris Deleon scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter to help guide the Blaze home and keep them firmly in the playoff picture, while Ayinde Ubaka produced a team-high 24 points for the Hawks.

The win lifts the Blaze to third on the ANBL ladder, while the Hawks remain dead last.

Also Friday night the second placed Perth Wildcats beat the 36ers 90-79 in Adelaide to stay in touch with competition leaders and champions, the New Zealand Breakers.
