Football Federation Australia's determined Gold Coast United will play the rest of the A-League football despite terminating the licence of club owner and billionaire mining magnate Clive Palmer.
The FFA chairman Frank Lowy says they had no alternative but to revoke the licence, following what he says was Palmer's flagrant disregard for A-League rules.
Palmer's continued to defy the FFA after Gold Coast was issued with a breach notice for contravening a direction not to use Freedom of Speech logos on their ground signage and players' jerseys last weekend.
Palmer's also been critical of the A-League's administrative on.
Lowy says they're determined last-placed United will play the final four rounds competition but has indicated Sunday's match against the Phoenix in Wellington might be postponed.
The third-placed Phoenix are keen for Sunday's match to go ahead with chairman Rob Morrison saying they'll be working with the FFA to make sure the game goes ahead as scheduled.
Palmer has said on social media site Twitter that he'll instigate court proceedings to retain his A League licence.
