8:11 pm on 7 December 2008

An Australian search and rescue team sent to a mining exploration camp in Papua New Guinea hit by a landslide has not found any more bodies after the initial 10 dead.

An Australian aid official says all the local people near the landslide in Eastern Highlands province have been accounted for.

Dozens of people were earlier feared to have been trapped after extreme rainfall triggered the one kilometre landslide on Thursday.

It killed five gold exploration workers in their rooms and five villagers, including three children, passing by from a nearby food garden.
