Two more suspects in China's tainted milk scandal are set to go on trial, bringing to 17 the number facing court over the nation's worst food safety case in years.
The China News Service says two brothers are scheduled to be tried for making and selling food additives laced with the toxic industrial chemical melamine, which were then sold to the Sanlu dairy group.
At least six babies died and 294,000 fell ill after drinking milk tainted by melamine.
The scandal caused Sanlu, which is part owned by the New Zealand dairy cooperative Fonterra, to halt production and subsequently file for bankruptcy.
Sanlu's former head is set to go on trial later in the week, with three other top company officials.
