Air NZ engineer's remains found at last

The remains of the fifth New Zealander killed in the Airbus crash off the French coast two months ago have been found.

The bodies of four other New Zealanders killed in the crash were returned to this country earlier this week and released to their families for burial.

The body of engineer Murray White was not among them but Air New Zealand says his remains have since been found by a French search and recovery team.

Air New Zealand chief executive Rob Fyfe says this has come as a relief to Mr White's family. He says the opportunity to bring him home to rest in New Zealand closes a significant chapter in the grieving process for the family.
