Police have arrested two men following recent robberies at banks in the Auckland suburbs of Birkenhead and Glenfield.
A 19-year-old man was arrested in Whangarei on Friday night and another man, aged 27, was arrested in Birkdale on Saturday.
The men appeared separately in Whangarei and North Shore district courts on Monday over the robbery of ANZ branch in Glenfield on 3 June and the BNZ branch in Birkenhead on 19 June.
Police say the arrests were made as a result of excellent information received from members of the public.
