Second fire at Titahi Bay house where bodies found

A second fire in 24 hours has damaged a Titahi Bay house in which two women were found dead last month.

The Morere St house was extensively damaged in the blaze, about 6.30am on Sunday, which police are treating as suspicious.

The Fire Service as called a second time to the house at about 3am on Monday, by which time the house was well alight.

A Porirua police spokesperson the second fire is also being treated as suspicious. The spokesperson says no scene guard was present at the property, and it is likely the two fires are linked.

Joelene Edmonds, 21, and her 16-year-old boarder, Jashana Robinson, were found dead in the home on 26 June.
