Polite robber sought after dairy hold-ups

12:35 pm on 4 September 2009

A robber in South Auckland has been notably polite during armed hold-ups.

Small amounts of cash at gunpoint have been taken from up to five dairies and other premises in Manurewa and Manukau.

The most recent robbery was on Tuesday night at the Grand Vue Dairy in Great South Road in Manurewa.

Detective Senior Sergeant Gary Lendrum says police are linking the incidents because the appearance and behaviour of the robber are similar.

The robber has been saying 'please' and 'thank you' during the hold-ups.
