A cycle lobby group has developed a number of urban rides that may be considered as part of the New Zealand cycleway.
Cycle Action Auckland presented its proposal for a Ponsonby Heritage ride, a Waitemata Harbour ride and a Mangawhai 'volcanic' ride to the Auckland City Council transport committee on Thursday.
As 80% of tourists come into New Zealand through Auckland, it says it would be great for tourists to try various fun rides in Auckland first, before they go and explore more rural rides.
