A police car crashed through the front window of a tattoo parlour in West Auckland on Monday after an officer accidentally hit the accelerator.
Police say the officer was getting out of the car in Te Atatu when his foot slipped onto the accelerator pedal.
The car smashed into the tattoo parlour, but no one was injured.
Police say an internal inquiry will be conducted into the accident.
