More jobs set to go at TVNZ

Updated at 3:12pm on 7 December 2009

Job losses appear inevitable at Television New Zealand, as the state broadcaster fast-tracks a drive to become fully digital.

Plans to cut 90 jobs and about 100 hours of local programming were announced in March in order to find $25 million.

TVNZ says $30 million more must now be generated to meet the Government's benchmark for a return on its investment.

Job losses are expected in a range of departments.
