Heatwave in South Australia

Temperatures are expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius in Adelaide on Saturday amid another heatwave in South Australia.

Temperatures reached 40.8 degrees in Adelaide on Friday. The weather bureau predicts temperatures will likely rise to 43 degrees on Sunday and into Monday before a cool change on Tuesday.

Temperatures in Ceduna and across the Nullarbor reached 43 degrees Friday.

The ABC reports a total fire ban has been declared by the Country Fire Service.

ETSA Utilities has more than doubled the number of crews on stand-by in Adelaide this weekend to tend to any power outages in the hot weather.
