A magnitude 5.4 earthquake has occurred deep underground, 70km north of White Island.
It was recorded at 7.43am on Sunday, at a depth of 240km.
GNS says it was felt north of Hawke's Bay.
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred 80 km north of White Island on Tuesday at 8.59pm. It was at a focal depth of 230km.
