Wellington International Airport Ltd says the number of passengers fell slightly in December, as a drop in domestic patronage offset a jump in travellers from overseas.
The company says more than 436,000 people passed through the gates during the month, an increase of 0.4% on the same period a year ago.
Domestic passengers fell 0.2% to nearly 376,000, with fewer people travelling regionally.
International passenger numbers rose more than 4% to 60,000, due to stronger demand from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
