NZ and Australian markets up

The New Zealand sharemarket is up on Tuesday. At 12.46pm, the NZX 50 index was up 15 points, or 0.5%, to 3092 on turnover of $43 million.

Fletcher Building was up 4 cents to $7.50, Telecom was unchanged at $2.28, Contact Energy was up 5c to $5.85.

Auckland International Airport Ltd was unchanged at $1.87.

Sky City Entertainment was up 2c to $3.20, Sky Television Network was unchanged at $4.75 and Air New Zealand was up 3c to $1.81.

Pyne Gould Corporation was unchanged at 44c. Tower was up 3c to $1.97.

The Warehouse was up 2c to $3.77 and Hallenstein Glasson was up 9c to $3.46.

The ASX 200 index was up 16 points, or 0.4%, to 4528.

The New Zealand dollar was trading at 68.64 US cents, 79.29 Australian cents, 43.96 British pence, 61.15 yen and 0.525 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 63.86.
