Moderate quake strikes near Cuba

A moderate earthquake of 5.6-magnitude has struck near Guantanamo in Cuba.

The quake on Saturday was centered 43km southwest of Guantanamo at a depth of 22km, according to the US Geological Survey.

The United States has a naval base at Guantanamo Bay that includes a prison housing 188 detainees, but there was no immediate word on damages, Reuters reports.
