Police investigate targetting home invasion in Dunedin

9:58 pm on 18 April 2010

Police are investigating what is believed to be a targetted home invasion on four men at a Dunedin property.

A number of intruders entered a Selwyn Street house, and tied up and hooded the young men who live there at about 2am on Friday.

Police don't think it was a random attack.

They say before the intruders left, one of them cut part of the material used to tie up the hands of one of the victims.

Another told the victims not to try and follow them.

The intruders are thought to have been armed with a pistol and a large knife.

The victims suffered minor injuries, and had some items stolen.
