Six high-powered guns and a sum of cash are missing following a shop burglary in the Rangitikei town of Marton.
Rangitikei Rods and Rifles, on Broadway, was broken into shortly before 10pm on Tuesday.
Thieves made their way into locked cabinets inside the shop, before making off with two pump-action shotguns, two rifles and two air rifles.
Two firearms carry-bags and an undisclosed, but small, amount of cash also disappeared.
Police say they expect motorists and pedestrians in the area will have seen the burglary, and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
