Lithuania has claimed the record for the most successive wins in Test rugby with an 18th consecutive win.

The Baltic nation beat Serbia 77-5 on Saturday to keep alive its hopes of playing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

The All Blacks (1965-1970) and Springboks (1997-98) previously held the record for the most consecutive Test wins - 17.

Lithuania captain Mindaugas Misevicius said he was happy with the accomplishment, but added their priority was to qualify for the World Cup in New Zealand.
