Northern trialists took the top honours in the North Island sheep dog championships, near Gisbone last week.
Murray Child and Ace from Whangarei won the Long Head event.
The Short Head & Yard went to Don White and Tweed from Taihape.
In the huntaway events: Jim Wilson and King from Feilding, took the zig zag title and Stuart McNeill and Bruce of Napier, won the straight huntaway.
The South Island and New Zealand Championships start at Gore in three weeks.
