Auckland International Airport Ltd is investing several million dollars to bring more tourists from Asia.

It hopes the campaign will attract a quarter of a million more Asian visitors to New Zealand over the next five years.

Chief executive Simon Moutter says the Asian market has the potential to bring economic benefits to New Zealand, equal to next year's Rugby World Cup, which is predicted to be worth $507 million to the economy.
