Appointments to restructured SFO

The newly-restructured Serious Fraud Office has appointed four new senior managers.

A partner at Auckland Crown Solicitors, Deborah Marshall, will become the SFO's general counsel, while the Securities' Commission's primary markets director, Simon McArley, will become the office's general manager for financial markets and corporate fraud.

Ernst Young's fraud investigation investigation executive director, Nick Paterson, will manage the fraud and corruption, and senior SFO staff member Rhys Metcalfe will become the general manager of fraud detection and intelligence.
