Apple is offering a free case to every owner of its new iPhone 4, as it attempts to limit any potential backlash from a fault with its antenna.

Apple has sold three million iphones 4 in three weeks, one of the successful product launches in history.

But customer complained of poor reception when the phone was held a certain way.

That has forced Apple's boss, Steve Jobs to admit the phone is not perfect and that it has dropped more calls than the previous version.

He says rival phones had similar problems, but Apple will offer a free case to make reception better or a refund if users returned the phone within 30 days of purchase.
