Tauranga police investigating the sexual assault of a young woman would like to speak with another young woman who stopped to pick her up in a van.
The attack happened on Takitimu Drive just before 3am on Sunday.
The 19-year-old victim was not physically injured.
After being picked up by a woman driving a white Toyota van, she was dropped off on Papamoa Beach Rd.
Police say the driver, a Pakeha female in her early 20s, may be able to help with the investigation and should contact the Tauranga police station.
