Concern for missing Lower Hutt man

6:09 pm on 20 July 2010

Police in Wellington are concerned for the well-being of a Lower Hutt man who has been missing for two weeks.

Frank de Jong, 45, described as a Pakeha of solid build with brown hair and tattoos on his upper arms, was last seen on 6 July in the Lower Hutt central business district.

He may be driving a Toyota Hiace van with the words "Satisfaction Guaranteed" on the rear panel.

Police believe he may have travelled as far as Auckland - his car was seen parked on The Strand in Takapuna on 14 July - or even further north.

But they say he may be back in Lower Hutt now, and are appealing to the public for further information.
