The chief executive of Auckland's largest sub-tribe is stepping down.
Tiwana Tibble is leaving after 14 years in the role at Ngati Whatua o Orakei Maori Trust Board.
The hapu recently settled its Treaty claim with the Crown.
Mr Tibble is highly regarded within the sub-tribe, despite being of Ngati Porou, Ngati Tuwharetoa and Ngati Raukawa descent.
He remains on the board of directors at Radio New Zealand.
