The University of Waikato is counting down to Kingitanga Day on Wednesday - which acknowledges the special link the tertiary institution has with Waikato-Tainui and the Maori King movement.
The annual event will bring together a range of activities including seminars, panel discussions and presentations from guest speakers and leading academics.
Some of the guest speakers include Dr Claudia Orange, Dr Huirangi Waikerepuru, Moana Jackson and University of Waikato law lecturer Linda Te Aho for a symposium discussing the status, place and relevance of the Treaty of Waitangi in a constitution for Aotearoa.
All activities are free and start at 9am Wednesday morning at the university campus in Hamilton.
