Dr Kuni Jenkins, a Maori educationalist has been chosen and was approved by the founding chairperson, Dr Hone Kaa, before he died.
Executive director of Ririki Anton Blank says Dr Jenkins was chosen because of her vast experience and devotion to Maori education.
