A series of hui for Iwi and hapu to talk about how to design a new constitution begins in the Far North from Tuesday.
The Independent Constitutional Working Group is running workshops across the country.
It's gauging views from tangata whenua about how a constitution might be based upon Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Eleven hui are to be held in Te Tai Tokerau - with the first being held at Te Reo Mihi Marae in Te Hapua from 10am on Tuesday.
The working group is also due to hold a workshop in places including Ahipara, Kaeo and Kaikohe.
The round of workshops in Te Tai Tokerau is due to end on 16 November.
