A series of seminars to help people learn about how to prevent suicide among Maori will be broadcast on the internet from the end of January.
They'll be hosted by the Mental Health Foundation in collaboration with Wellington's Victoria University.
Mental Health Foundation chief executive Judi Clements says they give people the opportunity to learn, discuss and raise issues about suicide among Maori.
She says 400 or so people, including individuals and health professionals, have already registered.
The seminars will look at whanau involvement, as well as ways Maori culture can help in the prevention of suicides.
The first of three seminars will be broadcast on 29 January on www.spinz.org.nz.
