Hui to improve Maori access to disability services

9:06 am on 3 April 2013

The first of a series of hui aimed at getting more disabled Maori using disability services was being held in Auckland on Wednesday.

CCS Disability Action is hosting three hui at the Manukau Institute of Technology over the next week, seeking feedback from the community.

Organiser Recenia Kaka says only 120 Maori use its services in the northern region, which is minimal compared to other ethnic groups.

Another two hui will be held in Northland next month.
