The head of Maori Television is stepping down after eight years in the job.
Jim Mather is to become the chief executive of Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
He says he is passionate about Maori development, which starts with education.
Te Wananga o Aotearoa is one of the country's largest tertiary education institutions, with 36-thousand students.
