Labour seeking Maori votes

Labour wants to gain the support of Maori voters and is meeting various iwi throughout the country to build links.

Party leader David Cunliffe was in Napier on Monday, to meeting iwi and the Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Mr Cunliffe says his party is keen to meet with tribes in other parts of the country.

He says he believes Labour will earn the right to govern when it has the support of a majority of iwi of Aotearoa.
